On April 16, 2026, the Bel Furniture team had the honor of partnering with The Warrior’s Refuge to donate mattresses in support of veterans working toward stability, healing, and a fresh start.
For Bel Furniture, this donation was about more than providing a place to sleep. It was about showing respect, gratitude, and support for the men and women who have served our country. A mattress may seem simple, but for someone rebuilding their life, a clean and comfortable place to rest can be an important part of feeling safe, cared for, and ready for the next step.
Supporting Those Who Served Us
The Warrior’s Refuge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2019 that serves veterans through three main pillars: transitional housing, counseling, and education and employment support. Their mission includes helping homeless veterans find safe housing, providing services for mental health and substance-use challenges, and connecting veterans with training and resources for successful reintegration into society.
Their work is centered on dignity, stability, and long-term independence. Through transitional housing, case management, counseling, employment support, benefits assistance, meals, transportation, and peer support, The Warrior’s Refuge helps veterans move from crisis toward a more stable future.
A Donation Made With Purpose
Bel Furniture believes a home starts with comfort, and comfort starts with rest. That is why donating mattresses felt like a meaningful way to support The Warrior’s Refuge and the veterans they serve.
Our team came together to help deliver mattresses to the facility, where they will be used to support veterans staying at The Warrior’s Refuge. Seeing the Bel Furniture team, The Warrior’s Refuge staff, and community members come together was a powerful reminder of what can happen when local businesses and nonprofit organizations work side by side.
Every mattress donated represents more than furniture. It represents a night of better rest, a moment of peace, and a small but meaningful step toward rebuilding.
Community Partnership That Makes a Difference

Partnering with The Warrior’s Refuge gave us the opportunity to support an organization doing important work for veterans and their families.
The Warrior’s Refuge serves veterans through its main campus in West Columbia and its Alvin location, The Rally Point. The organization continues to grow its reach with the goal of becoming a leading resource for homeless veterans, veterans facing mental health or substance-use challenges, and veterans experiencing employment barriers across Texas.
