The frame is made from MDF, solid wood, and LVL for strength and durability. The headboard and footboard are MDF/solid wood, the side rails are MDF with LVL, the headboard legs are LVL, the front legs are metal/plastic, and the center support legs are solid wood. The upholstery is grey velvet with crystal-style diamond buttons on the tufting.

Approximate assembled dimensions are: Queen bed 73.8 inches wide by 85.4 inches deep by 52.2 inches high, and King bed 89.57 inches wide by 85.4 inches deep by 52.2 inches high. The distance from the floor to the bottom of the headboard is about 23.2 inches, and from the top slat to the bottom of the headboard about 15.4 inches.

Yes. Some assembly is required. The headboard, side rails, base, and support components ship in cartons and must be bolted together using the included hardware and instructions. Having two adults for assembly is recommended.
